Adam Sandler: I love cursing
Adam Sandler is happy to be making R-rated comedy again.
The comedian appeared in PG hit Jack and Jill and PG-13 romcom Just Go With It in 2011.
Adam is preparing to release That’s My Boy this weekend, a comedy also starring Saturday Night Live’s Andy Samberg in which a deadbeat dad hunts down his successful son and tries to bond.Playing the father Donny was an incredible experience for Adam.“It was fun to speak the way that I speak in my bathroom. It felt good to get it out there again,” he told Collider. “I don’t know. I grew up cursing a lot. It felt natural. My parents told me to stop. They weren’t enjoying my albums, and they weren’t enjoying a lot of the things I did with my life. And then, my father passed away and he’s not here to yell at me anymore. I bullied my mother and said, ‘Here comes some more dirtiness. Sit and enjoy it.’ That’s what we did.”Although Adam has experienced much success in family films, he couldn’t turn this opportunity down.“It was just a funny script. I liked the idea, and I liked the idea of hanging out with everybody,” Adam shared. “[Andy] Samberg actually called me up and told me that he liked it, and that got me excited. That’s it. I’ve done some stuff, in the past few years, where I’ve cursed a bit and it felt good.”That’s My Boy will be premiere in US theatres June 15.© Cover Media
