Red carpet hair
It’s awards season, folks. And in the hair world, that means only one thing – the ultra-glamorous up-do.
And even if you’re not planning on hitting the red carpet, there are plenty of ways to work that awards show magic into your look.
From the super-chic chignon to the tousled side bun, there are countless styles out there to experiment with. But if you’re looking for an easy-to-do style that won’t seem out of place in the office, why not opt for a simple half-up, half-down look? Here are celebrity hairdresser Paul Percival’s tips for a super-chic look that will deliver all the glam you need. 1. Start off by prepping hair with some dry shampoo and really work it through to make sure it’s full of texture.2. Next, section off the crown and back brush at the roots with a small brush. To make hair easier to back-brush, add another dash of the dry shampoo to the root of the hair. This adds all the texture you'll need. 3. Once enough volume has been created, smooth the top of the hair and sweep into a twist at the back of the head. Secure with a pin.4. To finish, spray the tip of a pintail comb with Percy & Reed Reassuringly Firm Session Hold Hairspray and sweep all over to smooth.
