The number of US visas issued to Indians has increased by 60 per cent, US Ambassador to India Eric Garcetti said on Tuesday. He said that compared to last year, the number of US visas issued to Indian students and businessmen has increased by 60 percent in recent months and efforts are also being made to clear the backlog.
US Ambassador Garcetti, while addressing a conference of the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, said that India-US trade has increased to $ 200 billion per year and this trade is expected to reach $ 500 billion in the coming time.
Regarding a meeting of global business leaders in the US, US Ambassador Garcetti said that India had the largest number of participants in this meeting, which shows that the relations between the two countries are very deep.
US Ambassador Garcetti said that American companies Boeing and Apple have made major investments in India, which have created more than 30 lakh job opportunities in India.
Regarding India-US trade relationship, Ambassador Garcetti said that we are seeing the trade relationship between the two countries emerging as a two-way relationship, due to which Indian companies will also invest in America. If this happens then America Employment opportunities will also be created.
