Following the underperformance of “Baby John,” a remake of the Tamil film “Theri,” there has been speculation about Varun Dhawan’s emotional state. Co-star Rajpal Yadav addressed these concerns, stating that while the film was well-made, its status as a remake may have impacted its box office performance. He praised Dhawan’s dedication and willingness to take risks, emphasizing that such efforts should be appreciated.

If this wasn’t a remake, then this would have been the most well-made film of my 25-year career. But since Vijay had done it, the audience had already seen it and because it was a remake, it affected the box office of the film.”

Regarding Dhawan’s emotional state, Yadav commented, “Varun is such a sweet boy, very hardworking. He has always tried to do something different, and his attempts must be appreciated because it’s a big deal to take risks.”

While “Baby John” did not meet box office expectations, Dhawan’s commitment to diverse roles and his proactive approach to his career remain evident. His efforts to explore different genres and take on challenging projects highlight his dedication to his craft.
