New Delhi, October 16: The air quality has reached the very poor category in the national capital Delhi. The air quality index (AQI) has reached 220.
According to data provided by the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research (SAFAR), PM 2.5 remained at 176 moderate category.
According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the AQI was recorded at 263 in Anand Vihar, which falls under the poor category. Alipur recorded an AQI of 140 which was in the moderate category. The AQI recorded at DTU station was 407, which falls in the severe category. Nitrogen dioxide (NO2) was also a major pollutant.
The Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) recorded an AQI of 216 in Dwarka Sector 8, which falls in the poor category. While at IGI, it was 90 (medium range), with PM 10 being the major pollutant.
AQI 276 was recorded in Mundka. This also comes under the bad category.
The AQI has reached 208 in RK Puram, with 219 (poor category) AQI recorded in both Narela and DU North campuses. 148 AQI in the moderate category was recorded in ITO. The AQI was recorded at 176 Sirifort, which falls in the moderate category.
