Commercial LPG (LPG) cylinder prices were cut by oil marketing companies on Saturday. The price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder has come down by Rs 69.50 to Rs 1,676 in the national capital, Delhi. Indian Oil is the largest oil marketing company in the country, according to the information given on its website, after this cut, the price of a 19 kg commercial LPG cylinder in Kolkata decreased by Rs 72 to Rs 1,787, in Chennai it decreased by Rs 70.50 to Rs 1,840.50. In Mumbai, it has come down by Rs 69.50 to Rs 1,629.

New prices of LPG cylinders are released at the beginning of every month after the revision of gas prices. Global prices of natural gas and demand and supply play an important role in determining the price of LPG gas.

Earlier, the price of commercial LPG cylinder gas was reduced by Rs 19 on May 1.

Commercial gas cylinders are used for hotels, restaurants or commercial activities. Traders will get relief from the reduction in the price of commercial LPG gas.

At the same time, there is a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder for domestic use. There has been no change in the price of LPG cylinders for domestic use. The government last cut the price of domestic LPG cylinders by Rs 100 on the occasion of Women’s Day.

A domestic LPG cylinder is currently priced at Rs 829 in Kolkata, Rs 803 in Delhi, Rs 818.50 in Chennai and Rs 802.50 in Mumbai.

Subsidy on domestic LPG gas cylinders is also given by the government to the beneficiaries of Ujjwala Yojana.
