New Delhi, Aug 10: Delhi Police has invoked CrPC Section 144 in areas around Rajghat, ITO, and Red Fort just a few days before Independence Day.
This decision has been taken keeping in mind the Independence Day celebrations. CrPC Section 144 has been imposed in the areas around Rajghat, ITO, Red Fort, etc. and non-compliance is punishable.
Under Section 144, “No people gathering is allowed in these areas. And no crowding is to be done.”
The Central Police Commissioner wrote this on Twitter.
