The Enforcement Directorate (ED) raided the house of former Uttarakhand minister and Congress leader Harak Singh Rawat on Wednesday (February 7) morning in a money laundering case. The ED team is present at Harak Singh Rawat’s house since morning and is investigating.
Investigation agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) has simultaneously raided more than a dozen locations of Harak Singh Rawat and some others in Uttarakhand and Delhi-NCR. Under the raid, the investigating agency conducted raids at about 16 places in Uttarakhand, Delhi-NCR and Chandigarh.
During the ED raid at Harak Singh Rawat’s residence, a key maker named Wajid came out of the house. He told that he was contacted to make the key of the cupboard. A key for the cupboard was made by Wajid and it took one and a half to two hours for Wajid to make the key.
When the cupboard was opened with the key, only files came out of the cupboard. Regarding the people present at the residence of Congress leader Harak Singh Rawat, key maker Wajid said that Harak Singh Rawat’s wife and 4 to 5 ED officers are present at the residence.
Taking major action in the Forest Land Scam, ED has raided more than 10 locations of former cabinet minister and Congress leader Harak Singh along with many other people.
Harak Singh Rawat was suspended from the Uttarakhand cabinet and primary membership of BJP for six years due to “anti-party activities”. Harak Singh Rawat had joined Congress before the 2022 Uttarakhand Assembly elections.
