New Delhi, Sep 10: During his visit to India to attend the G20 summit, UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak began his spiritual journey with a visit to the famous Akshardham temple in India’s capital Delhi amid tight security measures. Along with his wife Akshata Murthy, Prime Minister Sunak participated in a ‘puja’ ceremony, and offered prayers during his temple visit.
Prime Minister Sunak’s visit to India began on Friday afternoon, marking his official arrival. On his first day, he held bilateral discussions with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at his official residence.
Continuing his visit on Saturday, Sunak attended the G20 summit held at the Bharat Mandapam and was a guest of honor at a dinner hosted by President Draupadi Murmu.
The following Sunday morning, Prime Minister Sunak joined other dignitaries to pay tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, at the iconic Rajghat memorial site.
