Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh has termed Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s arrest as a conspiracy. After his release from jail on Friday, Aam Aadmi Party MP Sanjay Singh held a press conference in Delhi and once again verbally attacked the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that a chief minister who is actually working has been jailed under conspiracy.
Sanjay Singh was also arrested in a money laundering case linked to an alleged liquor scam in Delhi. The Supreme Court has approved his bail recently. The Enforcement Directorate (ED) told the court that it did not oppose the bail plea filed by Sanjay Singh, following which the apex court accepted his bail plea and directed him to be released from jail.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh said that the ED had pressured some of the accused to make statements against Kejriwal and then gave relief to those accused.
Sanjay Singh said that the ED has pressured Manguta Reddy and his son Raghav Reddy to give statements against Arvind Kejriwal and the Delhi Chief Minister was framed and arrested as part of a conspiracy. There is no mention of Kejriwal in Manguta Parivar. Changed his statement under pressure in the 7th statement and got bail on 25th April after giving his statement.
Manguta Reddy gave a total of 3 statements, while his son gave 7 statements. When the ED first questioned him on September 16 whether he knew Arvind Kejriwal, he replied that he had met Arvind Kejriwal in connection with the charitable trust land issue. But after that his son was arrested and kept in jail for 5 months. After this pressure from ED, his father changed his statement.
Reiterating his allegations, he said that the ED also coerced Sarath Reddy’s statement against Kejriwal and later BJP took Rs 55 crore as donation from Reddy.
Sanjay Singh, who was imprisoned for about six months, was released from Tihar Jail on Wednesday evening after getting bail from the Supreme Court.
Sanjay Singh accused the BJP and said that the real thing is that the BJP has done the liquor scam. Statements against the Chief Minister of Delhi, which were not against him, were hidden. He has been arrested on the basis of the statements which were extracted under duress. There was no stain on Kejriwal before and it will never be. He has lived his life with hundred percent honesty. Arvind Kejriwal’s crime is only that he is working to give free bus travel and monthly allowance to women, working to give better education to the children of Delhi, making free pilgrimage to the elderly.
