In response to the devastating terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, 2025, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians, India has initiated a comprehensive diplomatic mission named Operation Sindoor. This initiative aims to expose Pakistan’s longstanding involvement in cross-border terrorism and to garner international support against such activities.
As part of this mission, an all-party Indian delegation, comprising members from various political backgrounds—including DMK MP Kanimozhi, BJP MP and former Army officer Capt Brijesh Chowta, and representatives from the Samajwadi Party, National Conference, RJD, and AAP—has embarked on visits to several countries, including Russia, Slovenia, Greece, Latvia, and Spain. The delegation is also accompanied by former diplomats Manjeev Puri and Jawed Ashraf.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) emphasized that this outreach is part of a broader strategy to hold Pakistan accountable for over four decades of cross-border terrorism. The MEA stated, “It’s time to hold Pakistan accountable,” underscoring India’s firm stance against terrorism and its commitment to enhancing global security interests.
This diplomatic effort follows India’s military response to the Pahalgam attack, which included missile and drone strikes targeting terrorist infrastructure within Pakistan. The operation, dubbed “Operation Sindoor,” aimed to dismantle terror networks responsible for the attack.
India’s proactive approach seeks to present a united front against terrorism and to ensure that the international community recognizes and addresses the threats posed by Pakistan-sponsored terrorist activities.
