On the occasion of the death anniversary of the country’s first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge etc. many prominent personalities paid tribute to Pandit Nehru on Monday (May 27, 2024). On Monday morning, several Congress leaders, including the Congress president, paid floral tributes at the Nehru Samadhi located in Delhi’s Shanti Van.

Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said on this occasion that India’s history is incomplete without the contribution of Jawaharlal Nehru. On social media X, he wrote, “The architect of modern India, who took India forward in scientific, economic, industrial and various fields, the dedicated watchman of democracy, the first prime minister of independent India and our source of inspiration, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru’s incomparable contribution. India’s history is incomplete without it. ”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to former Prime Minister of the country Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru on his 59th death anniversary. PM Modi said on his Twitter handle, “I pay tribute to former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. Jawaharlal Nehru played a major role in India’s freedom struggle. He became the first Prime Minister of India after independence in 1947. Jawaharlal Nehru fought against the British to free India from British rule.

The first Prime Minister of India breathed his last on May 27, 1964. Jawaharlal Nehru was the Prime Minister of our country from 1947 to 1964. He was very fond of children. Children used to call him Chacha Nehru. On the death anniversary of former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, former president Rahul Gandhi and many other party leaders paid tributes and went to Shanti Forest to lay flowers on Nehru’s tomb.

Rahul Gandhi paid tribute to the first Prime Minister on his 59th death anniversary. Rahul Gandhi described Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru as the architect of modern India. Rahul Gandhi said that he dedicated his entire life as a visionary to build India.
