The auto driver got very angry due to the cancellation of the booking and started abusing the girl. The victim girl was terrified by this behavior of the auto driver and she shared the video of this incident on ‘X’. The victim described herself as unsafe in the city.
This incident happened on 2 September in Magdi Road Police Station area. The accused auto driver has been arrested by the police. Both the victim girl and her friend had booked an auto from Ola app. They cancelled the auto when it did not arrive on time, after which she boarded the auto booked by her friend. At the same time, the auto driver got angry due to the cancellation of the booking and abused the girl. The angry auto driver also beat up the girl.
The video of the auto driver is going viral on social media. In the viral video, the auto driver is seen arguing with the girl in an angry and aggressive manner. The victim girl makes a video of it on her mobile, which enrages the auto driver. He attacks the girl, slaps her and starts snatching her mobile. The girl threatens the auto driver that she will complain about it to the police.

The accused auto driver asks her to come with him to the police. When the girl asks the auto driver the reason for his shouting during the argument, the auto driver replies, ‘Is the auto your father’s?’ To this, the victim talks about filing a complaint with the police. On the victim’s talk of filing a complaint with the police, the auto driver says that she can do whatever she wants.
According to West Bengaluru DCP, Magdi Road Police has arrested the accused auto driver Muthuraj. Legal action will be taken against the accused. On the other hand, the victim posted the video of the incident on the social media platform ‘X’ and wrote that she had to face severe harassment and physical assault by the auto driver after cancelling the auto booking in Bangalore.
The girl lodged a complaint with the Ola company against the auto driver. When no action was taken by the company on this, the victim regretted it and wrote that your customer support team has been unresponsive despite reporting. Urgent action is required. The victim described Ola’s response as disappointing. After reporting the incident through the app, we only got an automated reply. We became frustrated and helpless when we could not reach the helpline even after trying.
