New Delhi, November 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Jawaharlal Nehru on his birth anniversary, acknowledging his important contribution to the nation.

Prime Minister Modi shared a post on social media “X” and said, “Tributes to our former Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru ji on his birth anniversary. We also remember his contribution to our nation.”

 

 

Jawaharlal Nehru, born in Allahabad (now Prayagraj) on November 14, 1889, played an important role in the Indian independence movement led by Mahatma Gandhi and faced imprisonment several times.

In independent India Nehru became the first Prime Minister and held the post for almost 17 years until his death on May 27, 1964.
