New Delhi, January 31 (UITV)- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal will get the support of Trinamool Congress (TMC) MP Shatrughan Sinha in the Delhi Assembly Elections 2025. Shatrughan Sinha has informed through a post on his social media platform ‘X’ that he will campaign for Arvind Kejriwal and other leaders of his party in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections. Along with this, Shatrughan Sinha also talked about campaigning for prominent Delhi leaders Manish Sisodia and Atishi.
Shatrughan Sinha told in his post that on the instructions of Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, he will campaign in support of his friend and Aam Aadmi Party national convener Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi elections. He wrote, “I will campaign for my friend and the most popular, educated, IITian Arvind Kejriwal in the Delhi elections. My campaign can start between February 1 and February 3. My best wishes to Arvind and his party. Jai Hind.” Through this post, Shatrughan Sinha also informed that he will campaign in various assembly seats of Delhi, including major seats like New Delhi, Kalkaji, Jangpura and Greater Kailash. The main candidates of Aam Aadmi Party from these seats are Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj. Shatrughan Sinha believes that by campaigning on these seats, he can attract voters from Purvanchal, who can prove to be an important vote bank for Aam Aadmi Party in the Delhi Assembly elections. TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha will hold election meetings for Arvind Kejriwal from New Delhi, Atishi from Kalkaji, Manish Sisodia from Jangpura and Saurabh Bhardwaj from Greater Kailash.
Apart from TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha, other leaders are also likely to campaign in favor of Aam Aadmi Party in the Delhi Assembly elections. In fact, after the announcement of Delhi Assembly elections, Trinamool Congress had publicly announced to support Aam Aadmi Party. As a result, leaders like Shatrughan Sinha have revealed their support.
The Aam Aadmi Party is also getting support from many other leaders in the Delhi Assembly elections. Among them, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav is also prominent. On January 30, Akhilesh Yadav held a roadshow with Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi’s Kiradi area. During this, Akhilesh Yadav supported Kejriwal’s party and wished him victory. Apart from this, other Samajwadi Party MPs also campaigned for Aam Aadmi Party candidates and sought votes in the Delhi Assembly elections, which shows that the Aam Aadmi Party is getting the support of opposition parties under the India Block alliance. This can further strengthen the party’s position under Kejriwal’s leadership in Delhi.
Voting for Delhi Assembly Elections 2025 will be held on February 5 and the election results will be declared on February 8. This election is being held on 70 seats of Delhi Assembly, in which the main contest is likely to be between Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). In the last two elections, Aam Aadmi Party had achieved a historic victory. In 2015, Aam Aadmi Party made a record by winning 67 out of 70 seats in Delhi, while BJP got only 3 seats. Then in 2020, Aam Aadmi Party again performed brilliantly by winning 62 out of 70 seats, while the number of BJP seats increased to 8. Congress party could not win any seat in both the elections.
The support of Trinamool Congress in the Delhi Assembly elections can prove to be an important political strategy for Aam Aadmi Party. The support of leaders like Shatrughan Sinha and Akhilesh Yadav can give a new strength to the party at the regional and national level. This support can create a strong political current in favor of Aam Aadmi Party, so that it can move towards another spectacular victory in the upcoming elections.
In addition, the support of TMC and Samajwadi Party shows that the position of Aam Aadmi Party is getting stronger in national politics. This alliance can affect the election results of Delhi, because the unity of opposition parties can be a big benefit for Aam Aadmi Party.
After all, only a few days are left for the Delhi Assembly elections and every party is busy campaigning with its full strength. Now it remains to be seen whether the Aam Aadmi Party is able to continue its spectacular winning streak this time too or will the competition be tough with the BJP and other opposition parties
