Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to drop 'royal highness' titles

London, Jan 19 (UITV/IANS)- UK's Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle will no longer use the prestigious titles His and Her Royal Highness (HRH) and will not receive public funds for their royal duties, the Buckingham Palace has announced.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will also no longer formally represent The Queen, BBC reported on Saturday.

The couple will also repay £2.4 million of British taxpayers' money spent to renovate their UK family home, Frogmore Cottage.

The new arrangement comes into effect in spring this year, the palace said.

Dhaka, Jan 19 (UITV/IANS)- A Bangladeshi man, who left home for a business trip and never returned, has finally reunited with his family after 48 years with the help of a Facebook video, a media report said.

Habibur Rahman used to trade in rod and cement in his hometown of Bajgram in Sylhet right after the Liberation War, The Daily Star newspaper said in the report on Saturday.

After he left home at te age of 30, his family members searched far and wide, and did everything they could to track him, but were unsuccessful in finding him.

Indian-American author launches book for bilingual households

Washington, Jan 12 (UITV/IANS)- An Indian-American author has launched a Hindi-English book for children growing up in bilingual households, making it easier for parents and kids to read and the language together, a media report said.

After giving birth to her daughter in the US, author Chandni Bhatia, who came to America in 2013, was inspired to teach basic Hindi to young children, the India West newspaper said in the report on Saturday.

In her "My First Hindi Book", Bhatia presents a colourful and creative way to teach children counting, colours and animals in Hindi.

"As the only Hindi speaking parent to my daughter, I found introducing my native language quite difficult and set out to write a book to playfully teach her some introductory Hindi," Bhatia said in a statement.

"To my knowledge, there are very few Hindi-English children's books. My hope is that other Indian parents living abroad will find the book helpful for their own multi-cultural homes."

Los Angeles, Jan 19 (UITV/IANS) - Director Taika Waititi says Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson has a goofy quality, adding that he wants her to add that to her onscreen persona.

The director tried to add a bit goofiness in Johansson's character of Rosie Betzler in his upcoming film 'Jojo Rabbit'.

UP Rajashri Tandon Open university begins courses on CAA, Article 370

Prayagraj, Jan 14 (UITV/IANS)- The Uttar Pradesh Rajashri Tandon Open University (UPRTOU), the only open university in the state, has decided that the Citizenship Amendment Act and Article 370 will be a part of the syllabus of a new three-month certificate course.

According to Prabhat Mishra, public relation officer of UPRTOU: "The new course has come into force on January 10 and the admissions have already begun. The fee for the course is Rs 700. There is no limit to the number of students taking admission."

The courses will explain to the students the provisions and implication of abrogation of Article 370 and the Citizenship Amendment Act...

San Francisco, Jan 18 (UITV/IANS) A new patent has surfaced online that hints Apple touchscreen MacBook could be in the making.

The patent is filed under the US Patent No 20200019367 titled "Cross-Device Interactions." In one of the descriptions, Apple explicitly mentions touchscreen laptops.

It stated that "in some embodiments, display 5012 is also a touch-sensitive display," moreover, it adds that "in one or more of such embodiments, the user optionally performs a variety of finger inputs over display 5012 to enter user inputs via display 5012," AppleInsider reported recently.
