Australian Cultural fest in India to deepen the engagement

Bengaluru, Sep 21 (UITV/IANS) - To strengthen people-to-people ties as wll as engagement between India and Australia, 75 events will be organized across 20 cities in India through Australian Cultural fest by the Australian high commission and multiple partners.

The most attractive activity will be dance which will be performed by Australia's leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander dance company "Bangarra".
On 18-Sept-2018, Australia's High Commissioner to India, Harinder Sidhu took part in a program to launch Australia Fest - a six-month celebration of Australian culture website.
Not only dance, other activities also impress Indians which wil be organized in all major cities of India

Sidhu introduced three Australia Fest Ambassadors, Australian cooking sensation Gary Mehigan, and renowned Australian author John Zubrzycki and well-known music composer and Australian alumnus Raghav Sachar during the launch.

"Beginning this September, Australia's culture, creativity and dynamism will be on show across India. Australia Fest events will feature music, art, food, film, literature, dance, theatre, sport and much more," announced Sidhu.

"It has long been my conviction that connections between people will be the defining feature of the Australia-India relationship. With Australia Fest, we aim to deepen the engagement between our two countries and further strengthen our people-to-people ties" Sidhu.

300,000 Indians visited Australia with a 18 per cent hike as compared to previous year in the number of tourists in last year and 290,000 Australians visited India.
The Australian fest plays very important role to fulfil all the needs of two countries.
