Building Up: Indian Prime Minister to visit Israel in July

Israel, May 26 (Uitv) - Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address the country's Indian diaspora in Israel, during his two-day July visit. The event is goimg to happen in Israel's capital Tel Aviv. July 5 and 6 dates are sheduled  for visit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a rockstar-like reception at New York’s Madison Square Gardens theatre during a programme for the Indian community settled in United States. A similar event is being planned for  Israel's capital Tel Aviv, targeting Indians settled in Israel.

"It will be a Madison Square-type event... Modi will be the first Indian leader to hold such an event with the Indian diaspora in Israel," by source.

The planners of the event have started registration, targeting  around 75,000 Jews who migrated from India.

During the visit it is expected to sign "mega defence deals" between India and Israel.

In addition to Tel Aviv, Israel’s financial hub located along the Mediterranean coastline, Modi will also visit Jerusalem.

Due to conflict between Israel and Palestine, The visit by any Indian leader to Israel in the past had been hyphenated with Palestine, but Modi will break this tradition.
