Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha organizes charity drive

Guyana, Feb 29 (UITV)- Hundreds of people, including children, living in the Woodley Park and Bath Settlement areas of West Coast Berbice, recently benefited from a charity drive hosted by members of the Dharmic Naujawaan (DNJ). The DNJ is the central youth arm of the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha.

The organization distributed the nutritional food hampers, toys, books, clothing and school bags. The DNJ received tremendous support from the community, and is very grateful to Mr Deodat Siriram and members of the Woodley Park Vishnu Mandir, and members of the D’Edward Vigneshwar Mandir.

DNJ also, on the same day, assisted the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha in a medical outreach targeting residents of West Coast Berbice.

The DNJ is scheduled to hold another Charity drive in November of this year, and encourages everyone to contribute to the cause. DNJ has hosted several charity drives in the past, targeting poor and vulnerable communities across the country Strathavon in Cane Grove, East Coast of Demerara, Sea dam on the East Bank of Demerara and areas in the Upper Corentyne.
