Guyana, Feb 15 (UITV)- A new Hindu Sabha named as Guyana Viraat Sabha was inaugurated on Saturday with promise to promote and foster social cohesion.

Guyana Viraat Sabha is made of some of the biggest Hindu leaders of the country and many of those were part of the Guyana Hindu Dharmic Sabha in past, Guyana Pandits council also supported this Sabha.

Government, through Minister of Social Cohesion, Amna Ally, has pledged to support the Viraat Sabha Guyana and to partner with them to enhance lives and foster cohesion. Ally made this commitment on Saturday evening at the official launch of the Viraat Sabha Guyana at the Arthur Chung Convention Centre, Liliendaal.

She noted the need for the collaboration. She said that there is a distinct advantage with religious communities over the groups seeking to promote the social cohesion.

She said that motto of the organization proves the point of the Guyana’s motto. The Universe is One Family: she said this is the reminder of the deep concern to create a society where everyone will exist together.
