I have more Sikhs in my cabinet than Modi does, says Canadian PM Justin Trudeau

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau

Vancouver, March 15 (UITV)- While addressing students at the American University, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau laughingly said that he has more Sikhs in his cabinet than Narendra Modi.

The question came when Justin Trudeau was taking questions from students at the American University of northwest Washington during his visit to United States.

When a student name Jahan from Pakistan told Trudeau that it was really great to see so many Punjabis in his cabinet. Trudeau responded by saying, “I have more Sikhs in my cabinet than Modi does.”

Prime Minister Trudeau surprised one and all by including four Sikhs in his 30-members cabinet soon after coming to office in November last year.

The four Sikh Canadian inducted into PM Justin’s cabinet includes, Defence Minister Harjit Sajjan, tourism and small industry minister Bardish Chagger, Infrastructure Minister Amarjeet Sohi and Minister of Innovation Navdeep Singh Bains.

Indeed Prime Minister Narendra Modi cabinet includes only two Sikh members Maneka Gandhi, who is a sikh by birth and Harsimrat Kaur Badal who is the food processing minister.

Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau has been spotted busting a few mean Bhangra steps and visiting Gurdwaras several times.
