India to participate in South Asian Diaspora summit in Singapore

Singapore, July 6 (UITV)- Indian will participate in diaspora convention in Singapore, which will be held in July, with six international financial institutions, including World Bank, where opportunities to project financing in South Asia, particularly India are likely to be discussed.

Chairman of the Institute of South Asian Studies and organizer of South Asian Diaspora Convention (SADC), Gopinath Pillai said, “There will be opportunities for the Indian minister to discuss financing with the international institutions as well as private investors looking to invest in South Asia, particularly India.”

He also said Naidu may discuss investment opportunities in Amaravati, the new capital of Andhra Pradesh, with global investor at SADC.

The South Asian Diaspora Convention (SADC) scheduled from July 18 to 20 will be attended by Railway Minister Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Road Transport and Highway Nitin Gadkari and Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu. They will address the convention on July 18.

Top representatives from World Bank, International Finance Corp, ADB and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China and Infrastructure Development Finance Company will participate at the summit.

Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong and Sri Lankan Prime Minister R S Wickremesinghe will be Guests of Honor at the SADC.
