Indian Embassy in Oman to organise business event to promote India-Oman trade

Muscat, March 28 (UITV)- The Indian embassy in Muscat, in association with the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) , is organising a trade and investment promotion event, aimed to promote business and trade relation between India and Oman. The event will be organised on March 30.

Leading Indian companies and organisations will participate in the event which will mainly focus on healthcare, food industry, information technology, mining and mineral and the construction and infrastructure sectors.

The Indian embassy along with the OCCI will host a business-to-business (B2B) Meeting, at Crowne Plaza Muscat on March 30. Omani enterprises dealing in the above mentioned sectors have been invited to attend the meeting with Indian companies.

A seminar on business opportunities available in Oman in the above sectors will be organised at the embassy premises. Omani corporate active in the above sectors will make presentation to representatives of the participating Indian companies.

India and Oman, maritime enjoy excellent political relations. Under this strategic partnership, cooperation and exchange between the two countries have been expanding.

The Indian embassy noted that there are over 2,900 Indian enterprises in Oman with an estimated investment of $4.5 billion. Omani investment in India are estimated at $3 billion.
