Indo-Polish relationship looks bright: Ansari

Warsaw, April 29 (UITV/ IANS)-  Indian Vice President Hamid Ansari told to media that Indo-Polish relationship looks bright. He described his three-day Poland visit as “very productive” on Thursday.

"If I say my visit to Poland has been very productive, it will be not an exaggeration. The future of Indo-Polish relationship looks very bright and it is almost ready to take off to new heights. There is almost a perfect understanding between the two democratic states," told Ansari addressing the Indian community and Friends.  "The economic progress which Poland has made in the last two decades is very impressive and so is Poland's march towards democracy," he added.

On the other side, Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo mentioned the importance of India in International affairs. “We want to see India as our strategic economic partner. Two countries can increase trade and commerce into many folds. Poland is a gateway for India in the European Union because of its strategic location,” she said in the economic forum.

Later, Vice President inaugurated the new building of the Indian Embassy on the same day and expressed his satisfaction in its design and location.

Ansari along with his wife Salma Ansari arrived in Yerevan on April 25th and later, on Wednesday they visited Warsaw. Ansari has also invited Polish President, Andzri Duda to visit India. In the reply of the invitation Duda said “I will come to India with a big business delegation. For us, India is a favourite destination.”
