President Donald Trump tastes failure as US House healthcare bill collapses

Washington, March 25 (UITV/IANS) -The Republican leadership of the US House of Representatives cancelled Friday's scheduled vote on President Donald Trump's bill to replace the healthcare reform carried out by predecessor Barack Obama.

House Speaker Paul Ryan said he and Trump agreed it would be better to withdraw the bill once it became clear that the measure would fail due to defections among the GOP majority, EFE news reported.

"We came really close today, but we came up short," the Wisconsin lawmaker told reporters. "I will not sugar-coat this. This is a disappointing day for us."

Sasikala's parents, who live on the outskirts of Vijayawada, however said they suspect the involvement of their son-in-law.

They said Hanumantha Rao telephoned them Friday just to say that his wife and son have died and did not say anything more.

Childhood brain tumour survivor's high body fat ups stroke risk

Toronto, March 25 (UITV/IANS)- Survivors of childhood brain tumours have more body fat, increasing their risk of stroke, heart disease, type 2 diabetes and early death, research has shown.

The study showed that although survivors of childhood brain tumours -- the second most common type of cancers in children -- have a similar Body Mass Index (BMI) to healthy children with no cancer, they have more fat tissue overall, especially around the abdomen.

"The findings suggest that one of the most important risk factors for heart disease and Type 2 diabetes, which is excess total and central fat in the body, is present relatively early in survivors...
