Egypt's former president Hosni Mubarak dies, presidency mourns

Cairo, Feb 26 (UITV/IANS)- Hosni Mubarak, Egypt's fourth and longest-serving president, has died at the age of 91 after undergoing treatment in an intensive care unit following surgery, the media reported on Tuesday.

Mubarak who had ruled Egypt for 30 years before he was overthrown in 2011 mass protests has passed away in Cairo's Galaa military hospital, Xinhua reported.

Egyptian presidency has mourned the death of Mubarak for his services to the homeland as "a hero of October 1973 war" and offered condolences to his family.

New York, Feb 26 (UITV/IANS)- A global recession is likely if COVID-19 becomes a pandemic, and the odds of that are uncomfortably high and rising with infections surging in Italy and Korea, Moody's Analytics said on Wednesday.

In a commentary on the impact and scenarios of the coronavirus, Mark Zandi, Chief Economist at Moody's Analytics said that the coronavirus has been a body blow to the Chinese economy, which now threatens to take out the entire global economy.

AHMEDABAD, Feb 25 (UITV): US President Donald Trump's affability with Gujarati origin Indian PM Narendra Modi  was something could not be missed on Monday. Trump in his speech said that the four million strong Indian diaspora has contributed greatly to the growth of US. He also
acknowledged the powerful Gujarati diaspora by mentioning that one in four NRIs has roots in Gujarat.
NRGs especially NRIs at large are known to have affinity towards Democrats. But Trump’s attitude towards India and support for the country on global arena might swing votes in his favour, believe some diaspora members.
However, the NRGs who formed the part of the event on Monday, saw it as a returning of love that was on show during Howdy Modi event past year. '' I am sure the namaste Trump event will mark a deep impact on the US President who called himself as a friend of India and indians'', stated haribhai Patel, a resident of Chicago and vice-president of Republican Hindu Coalition. Patel said that 50-odd NRGs had come on their own to the event as there was no official contingent of NRIs with Trump on his two-day India visit.

Amitabh on Tuesday night took to Twitter to share a few pictures from the sets of "Brahmastra". One picture shows Ranbir sitting on two chairs while Amitabh is seen sitting on four. Big B's tweet suggests he needs for of himself to keep up with Ranbir's talent.

Facebook acquires VR developer Sanzaru Games

San Francisco, Feb 26 (UITV/IANS) Facebook has acquired Sanzaru Games, the developer behind the best virtual reality (VR) game of 2019 titled "Asgard's Wratha for an undisclosed sum.

Sanzaru Games would join Facebook's Oculus Studios as an "independently operated studio", reports uploadvr.com.
