US President Donald Trump holds rally in Democratic-leaning New Mexico

Santa Fe, Sep 17 (UITV/IANS)- US President Donald Trump held a rally in the Democratic-leaning New Mexico state which he had lost to his opponent and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election by more than eight percentage points.

Speaking to supporters in the city of Albuquerque on Monday, Trump said he would win the state in the 2020 presidential election, reports Xinhua news agency.

In his speech, he touted the nation's economy under his administration and repeated rhetoric on border security and immigration while attacking Democrats, their proposals and the liberal media.

Varanasi, Sep 17 (UITV/IANS)- A staunch supporter of Narendra Modi has offered a gold crown weighing 1.25 kg to the Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple here to mark the Prime Minister's 69th birthday.

Arvind Singh made the offering on Monday night on the eve of Modi's birthday.

Singh told reporters that he had pledged to make the offering if Modi was reelected from his Varanasi parliamentary constituency for a second consecutive term.

Hong Kong Airlines to reduce flights over protests

Hong Kong, Sep 17 (UITV/IANS)- Hong Kong Airlines announced on Tuesday that it will cut 7 per cent of its passenger flights until the end of the year since the number of tourists coming to the city has dropped sharply due to the ongoing anti-government protests.

The city's third-largest airline said it would shrink its business in an attempt to limit losses from thousands of customers cancelling Hong Kong travel plans, reports the South China Morning Post.

The airline added that it will also slash the number of available air tickets for sale by 9 per cent.

Donald Trump's attendance at 'Howdy Modi' will highlight powerful ties with India

New Delhi/Washington, Sep 16 (UITV/IANS): The White House has confirmed President Donald Trump's attendance at the September 22 'Howdy Modi' event organised by the Indian diaspora in Houston, adding that his participation would be "a great opportunity to emphasize strong ties" between the two nations.

The White House said in a statement that President Trump "will travel to Houston, Texas, and Wapakoneta, Ohio, to underscore the important partnerships between the US and India, and Australia.

"In Houston, President Trump will participate in an event with Prime Minister Narendra Modi of India. The event 'Howdy, Modi! Shared Dreams, Bright Futures' is expected to draw tens of thousands of people.

"It will be a great opportunity to emphasize the strong ties between the people of the US and India, to reaffirm the strategic partnership between the world's oldest and largest democracies, and to discuss ways to deepen their energy and trade relationship."

It was assumed Aykroyd would once again play his iconic character, Ray Stantz, since he has been talking about the film since its development, but he had not confirmed it until now, reports hollywoodreporter.com.
