September 2 – The India-Pakistan match is going to be held today in the Asia Cup 2023. Before the match, Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma said that the Indian team will have to give their best performance in the competition. There is no margin for error. Everyone has to focus their attention and aim towards getting things right. Because any day any team can beat anyone on the field. Every team has potential. Any team is capable of defeating anyone on the field on any day.
Rohit Sharma in the press conference held before the match said “Six competing teams are involved in Asia Cup 2023 and on any given day any team can beat anyone. He said that there is an opponent to play in the field and we have to focus our performance according to what we want. If we want to win, we have to focus on the right things on the field. ,
Describing the Pakistan team, Rohit Sharma said that in the recent three-match series held in Sri Lanka, Pakistan achieved the top position in the ICC ODI rankings by defeating Afghanistan 3-0 in the opening match of Asia Cup 2023. It has proved its superiority by defeating Nepal by 238 runs. The Indian batsmen will look to draw on their experience to counter the pace attack of Pakistan’s Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.
Rohit Sharma while praising the Pakistan team said “Pakistan has done well in T20 and One Day Internationals in the recent past and have topped the ICC ODI rankings. So it will be a good challenge for him in the first match of the Asia Cup.
Rohit Sharma also praised his bowlers and said that Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Kuldeep Yadav, Jaspreet Bumrah, and Mohammad Siraj, these six bowlers are playing for the Indian team and there is no doubt about how good bowlers they are. Jasprit Bumrah is still recovering from injury but he bowled well against Ireland and he seems to be in good shape now, which will benefit us.
