Asia Cup T20 Series

The Asia Cup 2025 has begun in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 9 to September 28, 2025. Eight teams are participating in this year’s edition, making it the biggest Asia Cup ever. This tournament will be played in the T20 format.

The opening match was played between Afghanistan and Hong Kong at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. Across Abu Dhabi and Dubai, fans will enjoy 19 matches. Dubai International Cricket Stadium will host the final on September 28. In addition to preparing their squads and testing their players, this tournament is also an important opportunity for all teams before the T20 World Cup 2026.

The Asia Cup features eight teams for the first time in the history. UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong, who qualified through qualification, join India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan. Teams are divided into two groups. Group A has India, Pakistan, Oman, and the UAE, while Group B has Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong. After each group, the top two teams move on to the Super Four round, where the best two will meet at the finals.

The India vs Pakistan clash in Dubai on September 14 is especially anticipated by cricket fans around the world. In sports, this is one of the biggest rivalries and the highlight of the Asia Cup. Both teams may face one another more than once if they reach the Super Four or even the final.
