The Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup 2024 was supposed to be held in Bangladesh, but due to the political situation there, it was not possible to hold the World Cup in Bangladesh. Because of this, ICC decided to hold the World Cup in UAE. Now the Australian team has announced their team for T20 World Cup 2024. Darcy Brown, who has recovered from a leg injury, has been included in the 15-man squad for the ICC Women’s T20 Cricket World Cup, while veteran spinner Jess Jonassen has been left out. Alyssa Healy has been entrusted with the responsibility of captaining the team.
Six-time champions Australia on Monday announced their squad for the T20 Women’s Cricket World Cup to be played in October. The mega event was hosted by Bangladesh, but due to political upheaval and a coup d’état in Bangladesh, the hosting of the Women’s T20 World Cup caused a lot of uproar, after which the venue was changed to the UAE. However, it will be hosted by the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
