In Gujarat and Tamil Nadu also, fraud cases have been registered against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das, directors of Arka Sports Management Private Limited, former business partner of cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni. In the case registered against him, there are allegations against him that despite the cancellation of the agreement by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, he continued to open cricket academies at many places in the name of Dhoni and has accumulated money through unfair means. Mihir Diwakar has played with Dhoni and has also been a Ranji player. Their troubles may increase further as fraud cases have been filed against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das in Gujarat and Tamil Nadu.

A complaint has been lodged at the Vastrapur Police Station in Ahmedabad on behalf of a company named MR Enterprises, in which it has been said that in the year 2020, Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das, directors of Arka Sports Management Pvt. Ltd. contacted them and said that Mahendra Singh Dhoni is the captain of the country. They want to open cricket academies in different parts of India and they have the authority of 10 years to run it. We were encouraged by Mihir’s words and agreed to this deal. We paid him Rs 45 lakh as license fee for 10 years to open a cricket academy in Gujarat. Besides, because we got the rights to open a cricket academy in Dhoni’s name, we also paid a royalty of Rs 75,000 per month.

As per the contract, we paid Rs 9.25 lakh as royalty by October 2022. It has been said in the complaint that Rs 1 crore 47 lakh has been given in the name of preparing a playground and providing other facilities. An expenditure of Rs 3.50 lakh was incurred in the form of hospitality, hotel and traveling allowance of the representatives of Arka Sports Management. Thus till now we have spent a total of Rs 2 crore 11 lakh 75 thousand in the name of establishing and running the cricket academy.

Regarding Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das, we later came to know that the right given to them by Dhoni to open a cricket academy has been canceled on 15 August 2021. In such a situation, Arka Sports Management of Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das cannot take any kind of financial benefit in the name of Dhoni. Chandrashekhar, secretary of Sri Shraddha Education Trust, Hosur, has filed another similar FIR at HUDCO police station in Tamil Nadu. This complaint was filed only on January 30, 2022.

According to the FIR lodged, he has alleged that Rs 35 lakh has been taken from him with the help of Dhoni’s name. In this regard, HUDCO police station had sent summons to Mihir Diwakar asking him to appear. In his complaint to the police, Chandrashekhar told that Mihir had told that Arka Sports is Dhoni’s authorized company.

About a week ago, cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni, through his friend and representative Seemant Lohani, has filed a case in the Ranchi court against Mihir Diwakar and Soumya Das, directors of Arka Sports Management Private Limited, alleging fraud of about Rs 15 crore. It has been said in the complaint that according to the agreement made between the two parties in 2017 to run the cricket academy on behalf of Dhoni, Dhoni was to get a share of the franchise fee and profit from Arka Sports. Arka Sports did not follow these conditions. Due to which Mahendra Singh Dhoni has suffered a lot.
