Dubai, September 23: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced that the winner of the One Day International World Cup will be given a prize money of 40 lakh dollars i.e. approximately Rs 33.17 crore, while the runner-up team will be given 20 lakh dollars i.e. Rs 16 lakh. Will be given at an amount of around Rs 58 crore.
The One Day International World Cup is being organized in India from 5 October to 19 November. In which a total of 48 matches will be played. Of these 48 matches, there will be 45 league matches and three knockout matches.
ICC has announced the prize money and incentive money for all 48 matches being played in the One Day International World Cup. It has been told in the announcement that the teams that are eliminated after losing in the semi-finals will also be given the same amount of 8 lakh dollars i.e. approximately Rs. 6.63 crores. 10 teams will participate in this competition. There are going to be 45 league matches and three knockout matches. In this tournament, those teams that will not be able to reach the knockout stage will be given an amount of one lakh dollars i.e. approximately Rs 82 lakh. At the same time, it has also been announced that the teams that are winners of the group stage will be given prize money of 40 thousand dollars i.e. approximately Rs 33.17 lakh.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) also announced that ICC will spend an amount of 10 million dollars i.e. approximately Rs 82.93 crore as prize money on the winning teams.
ICC, which is the apex body of cricket, is taking such a decision, they believe that with such a decision, the tournament will not only be competitive but also much more exciting and entertaining for both the players and fans.
The One Day International World Cup is being organized in India. Which will be played from 5 October 2023 to 19 November 2023.
