Sep 4 – China defeated India in straight sets to advance to the semifinals of the Asian Women’s Volleyball Championship in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
China didn’t give India much chances during the match, holding them to only nine points in the opening set on their way to a 25-9, 25-10, 25-12 triumph, according to Xinhua.
In the classification round, China is grouped with Japan, India, and Kazakhstan. Because China defeated Kazakhstan in the previous group stage and the two teams will not face each other again in the classification, China has already clinched a spot in the last four before facing Japan on Monday.
