If we were talking Football then we can’t forget the world’s most exciting event the football history is FIFA. President Jules Rimet, who was invented the idea of the FIFA World Cup which was first held in 1930. With the 2022 FIFA World Cup around the corner, football (or soccer) fans have their eyes on how their favorite teams and players will perform. But history shows that some players and teams are much more efficient at scoring goals and winning than others. After all, with only 32 teams competing and the field shrinking quickly, players don’t have much of a chance to make their mark.
Since the inaugural World Cup tournament in 1930, 21 tournaments have been held in 17 countries. In the first World Cup held in Uruguay, 13 national teams competed for the championship trophy. The tournament included 16 teams until 1982, when it expanded to 24 teams. More recently, FIFA expanded to the current 32-team format that began in 1998 preceded by a two-year qualifying process, involving over 200 teams from the whole world.
if you look through it a total of over more than 2,500 goals have been scored in the 22 editions of the FIFA World Cup final tournaments, if we not counting penalties scored during shoot-outs.And across all tournaments, only 13 players scored 10 or more goals.

Miroslav Klose – This German player just played 4 world Cups in his career (2002,2006,2010, 2014) In the 4 world Cups he played 24 matches and become the highest goal scorer by smashing 16 goals in his FIFA carrier.
Ronaldo – He is one of the most famous players in the whole world in his carrier he gets the chance to play in 4 world cups (1994,1998,2002,2006) he plays a total of 19 matches in FIFA for the Brazil team and he scores a total of 15 goals in his FIFA carrier.
Gerd Muller – This old man from West Germany player ranks 3rd place in our list just because he scores 14 goals in his FIFA carrier in just 13 matches and he just played only 2 world cups in his career which are in 1970 and 1974.
Just Fontaine – he plays only 1 world cup in his career and just plays 6 matches in it and managed to score 13 goals in the single edition of the world cup which is played in 1958. He used to play for France.
Pele– Pele is named a god of football his skills and his master-class gameplay are out of the world. In his famous carrier, he plays 4 world cups in it (1958,1962,1966,1970) he serves his nation Brazil and played 14 matches and manage to score 12 goals.
Sandor Kocsis– he plays for Hungary and he serves his nation in the FIFA only one which is in 1954 plays only 5 matches and scored 11 goals for his country in FIFA.
JURGEN RAHN– Jurgen Rahn plays 3 worlds for west Germany and Germany also he plays a total of 3 Fifa in his career and played 17 matches of the world cup and manage to score 11 goals and secure 7th place.
Helmut Rahn– he Represent West Germany in a Total of 2 FIFA world Cups held in 1954 and 1958. And played a total of 10 matches and manage to score 10 goals in FIFA and secure the rank of 8th in the top scores in FIFA history.
Gary Lineker– he plays for England for serials a year but if we were talking about playing FIFA for England in only 2 world cups which are in 1986 and 1990 and playing only 12 matches in it and managing to score 10 goals in his FIFA career.
Eusebio – he plays for Portugal’s team he only played in 1 world cup in his career and secures to score of 9 goals in only 6 matches in which he played in the 1966 world cup.
Due to a diverse field and an intense qualification process, some teams play more games than others. Therefore, the above list is skewed toward teams and players with a lot of caps.
Unfortunately, FIFA Match only reports fully tracked appearances and substitutions since 1970, although it still gives a clear picture of the world’s most effective (and least effective) goal scorers: Again, top scorers Klose and Ronaldo feature prominently with 15+ goals, but other legends with the same number of appearances such as Maradona, Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo have not been as successful on a per match basis.
With so many Qatar 2022 players vying for both the national championship and the Golden Boot, which is awarded to the tournament’s top goalscorer, the rankings are always subject to change.
And future tournaments will likely provide more goal-scoring opportunities. The 2026 World Cup, to be held in Canada, the United States, and Mexico, will feature the first 48 teams that FIFA voted to expand the tournament.
So, in the History of FIFA, these are the player who manages to score the highest of all time but the record is made to be broken, But FIFA continues with the same Glitter and excitement and bring lots of joy to the nation and the players.
