Tehran, 31 July (UITV) – Hamas’ political chief Ismail Haniyya was killed in Iran’s capital Tehran. Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) and Iran’s state media shared this information. No statement has been given by Israel on this yet. Hamas chief Ismail Haniyya had reached Tehran to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Through a statement, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has confirmed that the attack was carried out on the residence where Ismail Haniyya was staying in Tehran. Hamas chief Ismail Haniyya and one of his guards were killed in this attack.
It is known that Israel had vowed to eradicate Hamas after the attack last year. However, Israel has not taken responsibility for this attack nor has issued any official statement on it yet. But it is believed that Israel has killed Ismail Haniyya. Haniyya was killed by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s secret agency Mossad after entering Iran.
Hamas alleged that Hamas leader Haniyya died in an Israeli airstrike. Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps said that the attack is still being investigated. Nothing can be said about this attack right now. Hamas has threatened Israel that Haniyya’s death will not go in vain and it will definitely be avenged. Hamas has described this attack as a cowardly act.
On October 7 last year, Hamas attacked Israel, in which 1200 people were killed and 250 people were taken hostage. Since then, Israel has been continuously attacking Hamas fighters and leaders in Palestine. According to the Gaza Health Ministry, more than 39,360 Palestinians have been killed since the attack began in October, while more than 90,900 Palestinians have been injured.
The Yemeni organization Haiti has blamed the US for this attack. Haiti said, Israel’s PM Benjamin Netanyahu, on his US visit, has given the green signal for the killings. Whatever is happening, the US is behind it and the US will have to pay the price for it.
Many big Hamas leaders like Hamas military leader Yahya Ayyash, Hamas religious leader and founder Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, Hamas co-founder and Yassin’s replacement Abdel Ajit, senior Hamas leader Saleh al-Arouri, Hamas political chief Ismail Haniyya have died in the Israeli attack.
Analysts on Iranian government television have blamed Israel for this attack. However, Israel itself has not yet responded.
