Beirut, November 25 (UITV) – Tensions between Israel and Hezbollah in the Middle East have once again reached a serious level. On Sunday, Hezbollah carried out a major attack on Israel, in which about 250 missiles were fired. This attack took place at a time when there were reports of a ceasefire between the two sides. These attacks have made the situation between the two more tense.
Hezbollah has claimed that it targeted Israel’s intelligence bases and military installations. No deaths have been confirmed in this attack, but many people have been injured. According to media reports, these attacks by Hezbollah have also caused heavy damage to Israel’s military bases.
Before this attack by Hezbollah, Israel carried out fierce air strikes in Lebanon’s capital Beirut. 29 people are reported to have been killed and more than 60 injured in these attacks. The Israeli army claimed that its airstrikes targeted 12 major command centers of Hezbollah. These centers were under the control of Hezbollah’s intelligence unit, coast-to-sea missile unit and Unit 4400.
According to the Israeli army, these command centers were used to smuggle weapons from Iran to Lebanon via Syria. Apart from this, they were also being used to plan and carry out terrorist attacks against Israel.
Israeli attacks have caused heavy civilian damage in Lebanon. A multi-storey residential building collapsed in the bombing in the Basta area of Beirut, causing a large number of civilian casualties. According to the Lebanese Health Ministry, the death toll is constantly increasing. Initially 20 deaths were confirmed, but later more deaths were reported.
Apart from Beirut, Israel also targeted the Baalbek-Hermel area of eastern Lebanon. An attack in Shamistar in the region killed 13 people, including four children, while 13 others were injured. At least 11 people were killed and 32 injured in Israeli attacks in other nearby towns. Five people were killed and 19 others injured in Israeli bombing in the southern Lebanese city of Tyre.
Despite ceasefire efforts, both sides have continued their aggressive military operations. Israel says it had ordered the evacuation of several buildings to minimize civilian casualties, but heavy bombing has been reported from the affected areas.
The conflict has dealt a blow to peace efforts in the region. The conflict between Hezbollah and Israel has been going on for a long time, but recent events have made it more serious. Hezbollah has warned of continuing attacks on Israel, while Israel has also indicated to intensify its campaign.
The conflict has aggravated the humanitarian crisis in both Lebanon and Israel. Hundreds of people have been affected by Hezbollah’s attack and Israel’s retaliatory bombing. Diplomatic efforts are needed to establish peace between the two sides. In this tense atmosphere, protecting civilians and saving lives should be the top priority.
