India has paid the annual dues of 32.895 million dollars of the general budget of the United Nations. This information has been given by Stephane Dujarric, spokesperson of United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres.

He thanked New Delhi for this contribution in his daily briefing. It was included in the “Honor List” of the United Nations.

According to the Contribution Committee of the United Nations General Assembly, the deadline for paying its annual assessment to the General Budget of the United Nations was set for Wednesday and India has paid the amount by the deadline. India is one of only 36 countries out of 193 UN members to do so.

New Delhi’s total assessment of $36.18 million is for the general budget, but it has been given credit of $3.85 million from the staff assessment.

It is being told that India’s contribution to the total budget of the United Nations is 1.044 percent. The total budget of the United Nations is $3.59 billion.

The United States has contributed $762.43 million to the regular budget of the United Nations and is the largest contributor. Because America’s contribution is 22 percent of the total budget. It is followed by China with 15.25 percent, which pays $528.64 million.
