The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have shelled Hezbollah positions in South Lebanon and the West Bank. According to media reports, IDF warplanes have shelled Ayat As Shab and Kafar Qila areas in southern Lebanon. In addition, IDF warplanes have shelled Hezbollah infrastructure.
On Sunday, rocket attacks were allegedly carried out by Hezbollah in Metula, Malakiya and Ghajar, in response to the Israeli attack.
Expressing the fear of increasing tension in the West Bank, the Israeli Intelligence Department said that it is afraid that the tension in the West Bank is going to increase in the coming days, in view of which the deployment of troops has been increased in the border areas of the West Bank.
In his recent televised address on the situation in Gaza and the plight of the Palestinians, Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrullah strongly criticized Israel.
Hezbollah has been warned by Israel and has publicly announced that Israel is fully prepared for war if necessary.
