Kamala Harris calls for ceasefire in Gaza

Washington, July 26 (UITV)- US Vice President Kamala Harris is a potential candidate of the Democratic Party in the US presidential race. She made her first comment on foreign policy. Kamala Harris has called on Israel to agree on a ceasefire agreement.

After a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Kamala Harris told reporters that let’s complete this agreement to implement a ceasefire. Release those who have been held hostage and bring them back home and provide relief to the Palestinian people.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is on a visit to the US. It is not normal for the Vice President to address reporters in this manner after a foreign leader’s visit to the White House. Usually in such cases, the President himself talks to the reporters. But, Washington DC is currently going through an unusual change. President Joe Biden has dropped out of the presidential election race to be held in November and has fielded his Vice President in the electoral fray.

Vice President Kamala Harris’s comments on the issue of Democratic foreign policy are being widely circulated as her first comments after her possible presidential candidacy. On the Israel-Hamas conflict issue, Kamala Harris has adopted the line of the Biden administration. She has justified Israel’s right to defend itself, and also said that it is important to see how Israel does it.
