Russian President Vladimir Putin will embark on a two-day state visit this week from May 16 to 17 at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping, according to information shared by China’s Foreign Ministry.
Russian President Vladimir Putin has become the President of Russia for the fifth time, and this is his first foreign trip since then. This visit of Putin is being considered very important. Because the two countries are completing 75 years of diplomatic relations. Chinese President Xi Jinping is all set to host Vladimir Putin on Thursday. Earlier, Putin had visited China in October for the ‘Belt and Road Initiative’ summit.
Regarding the visit of President Vladimir Putin to China, the Kremlin said that after taking office, Vladimir Putin will visit China on May 16-17 as his first foreign visit at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping. During this time, President Putin and President Xi Jinping will discuss a wide range of issues in detail. The Kremlin said the leaders of the two countries would sign a joint statement after the meeting.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that President Vladimir Putin’s visit to China is starting from Thursday, May 16, and President Putin will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping during this visit. Responding to the related question, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Wang Wanpin said that the leaders of the two countries will discuss cooperation in many areas of international and regional issues of common concern and bilateral relations. Confirming the visit, Russia said in a statement that President Putin will pay a two-day visit to China at the invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
Russia aims to further strengthen its strategic partnership with China during this visit.
