Los Angeles, November 28 (UITV) – Manuel Tamayo-Torres, accused of threatening to kill US President-elect Donald Trump and his family, has been arrested. The arrest came after recent incidents in which the accused posted several videos on social media in which he made serious threats against Trump and his family.
Tamayo-Torres had posted several videos on Facebook in which he was seen with weapons. In one video, he was seen holding a white AR-15 rifle with a 30-round magazine. In the video, he clearly threatened that the death of Trump and his family members is certain. He said, “You are going to die, your son is going to die and your whole family is going to be finished. This is the truth of your future.”
Trump was not named directly in the court documents, but he was referred to as “Person 1”. This method is usually used against public figures, especially former or newly-elected presidents.
According to the documents, Tamayo-Torres not only made threats but also accused Trump of kidnapping and trafficking her children. However, it is not yet clear whether Tamayo-Torres actually had children or not.
Tamayo-Torres has been charged with a serious charge of threatening the newly elected president. Along with this, four charges of making false statements while purchasing a gun have also been filed against him. All these charges led to his arrest near San Diego, from where he was trying to escape.
The case has been registered in Arizona, where investigation is going on against Tamayo-Torres. According to reports, the accused targeted the President and his family through his threats on social media. This alerted the security agencies and a campaign was launched to arrest Tamayo-Torres.
This case is important not only from a security perspective, but also because it shows the impact that content posted on social media can have. The charges against Tamayo-Torres are serious and legal action is ongoing.
The incident highlights how challenging such threats against public figures can be to security, and warns of the misuse of social media and the illegal purchase of weapons.
