Mumbai, October 9: Bollywood actress Nushrat Bharucha, who was stranded in Israel amid increasing tension between Israel and Gaza, has returned safely to Mumbai. However, there was visible trouble amid the media frenzy at the Mumbai airport upon his arrival.
Nusrat was seen wearing crepe-colored track pants and a sweatshirt while walking from the arrivals area to her car. Surrounded by a crowd of journalists and cameras, the actress was distraught and found it challenging to communicate due to the chaos.
Almost on the verge of tears, she repeatedly urged the cameraperson to step back and give her some space as she endured the ordeal of over 24 hours. Nusrat was in Israel to attend the Hifi Film Festival and was brought back to India with the assistance of the Indian Embassy, including taking a connecting flight.
The heightened tensions in the region stemmed from the Gaza–Israel conflict, triggered by a surprise attack launched by the Gaza-based terrorist group, Hamas. The ongoing Israeli–Palestinian conflict, which originated in the mid-20th century, is a long military and political conflict in the Levant. Despite numerous attempts to resolve it, including the Israeli–Palestinian peace process and broader Arab–Israeli conflict negotiations, it remains one of the world’s longest-running conflicts.
