Srinagar, December 26: The earth trembled due to an earthquake in Ladakh today (26 December 2023) at around 4:33 am. On the Richter scale, The intensity has been measured at 4.5. Information about the earthquake’s intensity is given according to the National Center for Seismology data.
According to the National Center for Seismology, earthquake tremors were felt in Poonch, Kargil, Kishtwar, etc. of Jammu and Kashmir. These earthquake tremors have been felt a lot in the Himalayan mountain range. There has been no news of any casualty or damage to property due to this earthquake.
It is being told about the epicenter of the earthquake that its epicenter was 5 kilometers inside the ground.

Three aftershocks were also felt after the earthquake. An earthquake of 3.8 magnitude was felt in Ladakh at 4:01 pm, an earthquake of 4.8 magnitude was felt in Kishtwar of Jammu and Kashmir at 4:01 pm, again an earthquake of 3.6 magnitude was felt in Kishtwar of Jammu and Kashmir at 4:18 pm. Earlier, an earthquake of magnitude 4.0 occurred in Pakistan at 11:38 pm. The people of the valley are scared of continuous earthquake tremors.
Earthquake tremors were also felt in Jammu and Kashmir and Leh-Ladakh last week on Monday (18 December 2023). Last week, five earthquakes one after the other were felt in the Ladakh region.
