Donald Trump said in a post on his Truth social media platform that the State of the Union contains “gross misrepresentations and lies” and people know it.

“President Biden tried to say everything was perfect, but we know that’s not true,” said Monica De La Cruz, Republican of Texas.
Rejecting arguments that the president was too political in his speech, Delaware Senator Chris Coons, an ally of Joe Biden, said he was simply making his case for re-election.
