Jacqueline Fernandez’s mother, Kim Fernandez, passed away on Sunday, April 6, 2025, in Mumbai’s Lilavati Hospital. She had been hospitalized since March 24 after suffering a heart stroke. Jacqueline and her father, Elroy Fernandez, were present during her final moments.
In light of her mother’s health condition, Jacqueline had previously canceled her scheduled performance at the Indian Premier League’s opening ceremony in Guwahati to remain by her mother’s side. Kim Fernandez, of Malaysian and Canadian descent, had faced a similar health scare in 2022 when she suffered a stroke and was hospitalized in Bahrain.
Several celebrities, including actor Sonu Sood, were seen arriving to offer their condolences and attend the funeral. The Fernandez family has requested privacy during this difficult time.
