Adani Vizhinjam Port Private Limited (AVPPL) has been awarded the ‘International Safety Award’ by the British Safety Council for the calendar year 2023 in recognition of its commitment to keeping workers and workplaces healthy and safe.
The International Safety Award recognizes organizations worldwide that demonstrate their commitment to preventing workplace injuries and work-related illnesses during the previous calendar year. They also recognize organizations that demonstrate a commitment to workplace wellness and mental health.
AVPPL is one of 269 global organizations to receive the Excellence in International Security Awards 2024 award. A total of 1,124 organizations have won this award. The organization spans across all sectors with significant representation in oil, mining, gas, construction, manufacturing, power, utility sectors etc.
Winners were selected from 49 countries around the world, with 269 organizations awarded Distinction, 456 Merit and 399 Passes.

APSEZ is the largest port developer and operator in India with seven ports and terminals each located on the west and east coasts.
APSEZ is developing a transshipment port in Colombo, Sri Lanka and the company Adani Vizhinjam Port Pvt Ltd in Israel also operates Haifa Port.
