As the excitement of the festive season builds, e-commerce giant Amazon has officially announced that its much-awaited sales event, the Great Indian Festival, is set to begin on October 10.
In a familiar move, Amazon is planning to give its Prime members special early access to this annual shopping extravaganza. Meanwhile, Amazon’s strong rival Flipkart has not yet revealed the dates of its Big Billion Days sale. However, it is widely speculated that Flipkart will launch its festive sale around the same time. Last year, both Flipkart and Amazon started their festive sales on September 23.

In preparation for festive shopping, Amazon India recently launched a service called Multi-Channel Fulfillment (MCF) for sellers. The service caters to a wide range of sellers, including direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands and retailers, facilitating the management of customer orders received from various sales channels. Amazon the e-commerce giant explained, “MCF simplifies the process for sellers, enabling them to create orders, track these orders, and generate tax invoices for customers shopping off Amazon, as well as faster shipping and Let’s ensure delivery.”
The stage is set for an exciting festive shopping season, with both Amazon and Flipkart set to offer attractive deals and discounts. This is a time when Indian consumers are eagerly waiting for the opportunity to get their favorite products at discounted prices, making it a win-win situation for both shoppers and e-commerce platforms.
