Oct 13 – Mukesh Ambani, the Chairman of Reliance Industries, and Nita Ambani, the founder and chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, graciously hosted the President of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach, at their splendid residence, Antilia, located in south Mumbai. This warm welcome took place in preparation for the 141st IOC session, scheduled to occur from October 15 to 17 in Mumbai.
Nita Ambani, who is also an IOC member, extended a traditional Indian welcome to Mr. Bach, making his visit all the more memorable.
On the following day, Thomas Bach had the opportunity to meet with the President of the Indian Olympic Association, P. T. Usha. In response to their meeting, Usha, an iconic figure in Indian athletics, expressed her gratitude on social media, tweeting, “It was indeed an honor and privilege to meet IOC President Thomas Bach today! He is a true advocate for the Olympic movement. Our discussions centered on the transformative power of sports in inspiring and changing lives. Exciting times lie ahead for Indian athletes.”
