Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk said that if ChatGPT is added to Apple iOS, he will ban the iPhone and other company electronics at all of his companies.
iOS 18 was introduced by Apple on Monday, with the help of which users will be able to ask their questions to Siri and Open AI.
In a post on social media handle X, Elon Musk said that if Apple adds Open AI at the OS level, Apple devices will be banned in my companies. We will never tolerate any tampering with security.
Elon Musk further said that we will check the suppliers at the company’s gate to see if they have Apple devices or not. If Apple devices are recovered from them, they will be stored there.
On this some X users said that now is the time to bring X smartphone.
If Apple integrates OpenAI at the OS level, then Apple devices will be banned at my companies. That is an unacceptable security violation.

However, Apple and Open AI have made it clear that any questions, photos and documents will reach ChatGPT only after the user’s permission.
One user wrote that iPhone data will not be accessed by OpenAI. Elon Musk responded to this by saying that it is just nonsense and if so, leave it as an app.
YouTuber Markus Brownlee wrote in response to a post on social media platform X that words like “protect your privacy” have been used by Apple. At the same time, your data is being given to a third party AI. Which they cannot make themselves and which they do not understand. Such privacy cannot be protected at all.
ChatGPT has been added to iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia at the WWDC 2024 event from Apple.
Siri can then take help of ChatGPT as needed. A question will be asked to ChatGPT only after Siri takes the user’s approval. Siri will then provide direct answers.
Apart from this, the company said that going forward, ChatGPT will come as an authoring tool, with the help of which users will be able to generate content.
