Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has once again denied claims that he donates $45 million per month to former US president Donald Trump. Responding to a viral note alleging that Musk has pledged this substantial amount to Trump and is now part of the MAGA (Make America Great Again) campaign, Musk clarified: “This note is false.”
“I have not pledged anything to anyone. I did create a PAC that is focused on supporting candidates who favor a meritocracy and personal freedom, but funding to date has been far below that level,” the tech billionaire wrote on the social media platform X.
Despite allegations in the viral note that Musk has “fully” endorsed Trump for the presidency following a recent assassination attempt, Musk has firmly denied these claims.
The note further accused Musk of “ruining Twitter by allowing hate speech and disinformation to flood the platform” and using his wealth to “control our democracy.”
On Thursday, US President Joe Biden, who recently tested positive for Covid-19, took a swipe at both Trump and Musk, saying, “I’m sick…of Elon Musk and his rich buddies trying to buy this election.” Musk has frequently criticized Biden’s immigration policies and questioned his age.
